Promoted!

Could You explain what does it mean "promoted"?

This car is 1956 Orion (German). "The company Adolf Plastic developed this two-seater roadster in Paderborn. Only few number was built.".

This puzzle started life as a Rookie puzzle. As no Rookies managed to solve it, it has been promoted to the Expert level. That's the way here at AutoPuzzles - if the Rookies can't solve them, the Experts get their chance, and if they can't crack them either, the Pros can have a try.

I'd say that it would take a rather brave/stupid chap to name his company Adolf in Germany in the 1950's... but he did.

Remember, however, if you post a puzzle you believe to be sufficiently difficult, you may post it directly in the Expert or Professional section from the start.

The professionals, especially, would like that. With all of the talented and knowledgeable newcomers, the Pro's haven't had much new material to work on of late... :)

This striked me too. But I wouldn't say "brave". Stupid, unconscious, totally nuts or fearful maniac would be more appropriate. This said, I would have loved to solve this one myself.

As for the way puzzles are managed, I'll complete your advice to newcomers: puzzles can be first posted in any section. And when you promote them, you can do it directly in the pro section if you like. There is no rule, just common sense. We also keep in mind to keep our pros (who after all are like our fathers) busy too.

That would explain it. Still, there's no mention of this car anywhere under the name Adloff...
