The wheels and the position of the steering wheel make me think that this is some special version of the Simca 1000. But I cannot find anything that would match

While it may be Simca-based, I have no record of that. In fact, I have only a photo and a name.

It's a Steyr-Puch (Fiat) based Adria TS by German/Austrian designer Werner Hölbl.

Heck, I tried to check but there's a typo in the solution there. It's Höbl, not Hölbl, that is why I did not find it. Sorry, please do what is appropriate.

Here's the original of the picture, which was featured in a Hungarian magazine in 1964 though the cars were built in 1962.

Someone please merge this thread and find out whether he was Höbl or Hölbl. I've seen references to both

Werner Hölbl is the correct name. Recently was in email contact with him concerning his role on the Autobianchi Pio Manzu G.31project.
