Porky roadster...
Indeed.
:bag:
Let's try to slowly uncover the origins of this piggy vehicle.
It is a British car that participated in club racing in mid-fifties, right? With possibly Ford engine...

You're on to something. What's correct is in black. The rest I'd have to do a little research in order to answer, and I haven't got the time now.
I'll wait and do some search too ;)
If you have this info now, was it a 1172cc Sidevalve?
All right. Club racing and period are correct. I don't heave the exact engine displacement, but it seems quite near your number.
Maybe it is a Clare 90? I couldn't find any pictures of the car, but it used Ford engine for sure.
Also I guess it's NOT Lotus or Buckler...
Is it OK for one post?
None of those, sorry.
Arden Ford...
Nope
DBM Ford Special ^-^
:bag:
Nope.
"Ford" doesn't appear in its name.
MM Special.... ::)
There was a significant amount of such cars... hard to tell which of them this is. And with such a names Google is not a great assistans :-\
No again (and my heart bleeds for you).
This make is still active.
TVR? :hyper:
:hyper:
Which one? (and I'm going to bed now).
The one driven by J.P.Hacking in Aintree in 1955?
That I don't know. Earlier than 1955.
What I am after is a "model" name. I have seen only one reference to this car on the internet, but I think it can be googled.
And to make it worth your while it will be a 2 points puzzle.
1951 TVR 3 is what you wanted to hear?
You don't give up easily, do you?
It was an interesting one, thanks :)
I'm not sure if you can say that TVR is "still active".
Aren't they?
They went bust (for several times) and nobody knows if they ever get back in business again.
Well, technically the company still exists but they haven't built a thing since late 2006, when Smolensky moved it out of Blackpool, resigned and put the company into administration, only to buy it later back cheaper.
Every 6 months or so they issue a press release stating that the production is due to start soon, but that's all that can be said about TVR nowadays.
Missing puzzle pic restored
Thanks. I sometimes do it when I'm alerted by someone posting in one of those and I see that the picture is missing, but I rarely took the time to check my old puzzles one by one.
