Moved to first floor.
And up again!
This open pro section is getting crowded. Fleeing to another one.
It reminds me of one car at one photo. It was a very old race and the car was driven by a woman. Maybe it was a DeDion Bouton, but maybe I'm completely wrong.
Cadillac?
Neither a DeDion, neither a Cadillac.
It's steam-powered, isn't it?
In case of alternative power I'd rather say electric.
Nope, Otto is right. It's steam.
Non-US brand?
US brand. Here is the factory where it was built.
A Jaxon?
Didn't know those, but no.
What year it is? 1902 maybe?
Between 1900 and 1905. I don't have a more precise date.
Chicago?
No. Quite far from there. Here is another car of the same make.
Johnson?
Nope
Time to narrow down a 458-names list...does the company name starts from A,B or C?
No (you're dangerously close to a case of "Erbas rule" ;D, but we'll make an exception)
Oopps, I meant A-B-C together...
for example, if I should ask if it starts with a letter from N to Z, the answer will be yes for a Newark or a Reynolds. I thought the Erbas rule was against questions like: Does it start with A? Or B? What about C then?
But probably I won't get much further...now the list is of about 314 names!
Ooops myself. You're right.
So, it's not A-B-C, neither D-E-F, but you're welcome to try this method on, you might get lucky.
J-K-L (Kensington)?
Not J-K-L
:-\
Grout maybe? It's hard to find pictures for most of the makes I can find, so it gets down to just some little information.
:) Grout it is!
It's been here so long that I say the brand itself is worth a point. The exact model name will be worth another.
Locked for faksta 72 hours.
Grout $800 Steam Runabout?
Exactly.
Made in Orange, Massachussetts.
Strange name for a car - $800 Steam Runabout :) Maybe it was just an advertisement which contained those $800?
It seems to have been part of the name. The caption was "Guaranteed to Go Where Any Automobile Ever Went"
Including, alas, out of business.
