So, what could it be? Hopefully, not a repost!

If you de-select the "create a redirection post" option when you move puzzles, we avoid all the extra posts saying "MOVED".

This car may have also gone by the name "Project E27".  I haven't found information which states it was actually intended to be a 504 or a 505 Coupe.

PM sent, as this is a re-post.
It can remain where it is for the moment but if not solved by a Rookie then it should be merged with the original rather than be moved up to the Experts.

Ecurie001 doesn't seem to be active here any more, so I've awarded ratapouet his point but merged this puzzle as it is of course a repost.

Unfortunately our knowledgeable new member ratapouet doesn't seem to be very active either; after joining and solving a number of Rookie puzzles he now seems to have disappeared...!

So, is it a 504, a 505, a 506, or "Project E27"?

Good point.
Projet E27 for a 504 Coupé seems to be correct, but the original title contained neither.
So ratapouet isn't strictly correct saying it's a 604.
But it's still a repost so maybe best to take his point away and just leave it merged?
Maybe change the title though to include a little more information?
Here are some more pictures, from which the E27 designation can be clearly seen; one German website declared it as by Pininfarina, which I haven't seen mentioned before either...

The Peugeot museum itself describes it as being a Pininfarina design:
