No, not a BMC proposal (despite looking a lot like an Austin A40!)

OK then.  It's a one-off prototype made in 1956 by Pininfarina for DKW.

This is one of the rare Pininfarina cars that is not listed in the Pininfarina Catalogue Raisonné book.
(another one is the other DKW bodied car.  Coincidence?)
