What's this then? I only have a name and a year. I think it's a hard one, so two points are available here

barrett

Experts? You'll have to work hard for this!

Arunas

barrett

I think so,  but i'm not really sure!

Djetset

I don't know why, but it looks distinctly North American to me.  Is is electric?
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

barrett

As far as I know it's a normal internal combustion engine. You're right about it looking North American, but I honestly don't know. I remember finding the pictures on an English website, where it was for sale in the UK - I think! I wish I'd saved some more information about it now  ::)
anyway, perhaps another view will help?

barrett

I've just noticed the US license plates - looks like it is from the good ol'USA after all....

barrett

A clue before this gets sent down the hole?

This car only has one name, and it's a name that has been used by at least one mainstream car maker.... it's also a unit of size.

barrett

Not a Metro.
The name is used to measure a very specific product.... it's also the name used by an infamous (non-automotive) company... is that making it easier, or harder?  ;)

barrett

Allemano

barrett

Nope, it's not a variation of 'caliber'.

'caliber' does relate directly to the non-automotive product that shares the name, however.....

Allemano

barrett

Very close!
But, a Colt is not also a measurement is it? ;)

Paul Jaray

Is Taurus also a measurement unit?
I'll go with Magnum, then.

barrett

Paul Jaray

This measurement unit, is it about distance?

barrett

That picture was a clue, ya know!

Paul Jaray

So it has nothing to do with guns...but fluids, like Pint?

Paul Jaray

I still think Magnum fits them all... :-\
...but there was the For  Pint .

barrett

Apologies!
I didn't see your 'Magnum' comment, did you edit your post??

That is correct, sorry for leading you up the garden path! (as we say in England)

You get the point, but do you want to guess at a year? Just for fun!

Paul Jaray

No problem, I edit my previous post right after I wrote it...and I had fun reading pages of obscure measurements units looking for car names!
I can only guess the year...mid 80s...1983?
