In this puzzle, the connections are a little less obvious. Not all of the songs involved are ostensibly about a specific vehicle, though some are. Others are related to the things that happen in cars. To turn up the difficulty wick a bit further, not all of the artist pictured are the original performers of the associated songs, and some are far from the best-know purveyors. Perhaps even more maddening, some of the artists actually did covers of  songs created or recorded by other artists that appear here.

So, I'm sending this one into the all-access shark tank from the get-go.

Points will be awarded when all of the artists and songs have been correctly identified and paired.

Enjoy!  :D

Artist No1 vs Car No1:
THe Trashmen: A-bone
"
I've got a little A-bone like you never have seen
A way-out wailin' type of boss machine
Top eliminator at all the big name drags
Well she's stroked and bored and shaved so neat
and sittin' right next to my bucket seat"

Artist 3 - Chuck Berry

song 7 - Route 66

Allemano

Is 'name the artist 2' a solo musician or rather known for his band membership(s)?

Otto Puzzell

While often recording with a more-or-less steady band, the bulk of his releases were made under his own name.

Is this particular pic cropped from a group photo?

To spill the beans: Is it Rod Stewart?

Otto Puzzell

No, not Rod the Mod, or Rod the Crooner.

This lad stayed pretty much close to his rock roots.

Allemano

#21
As recently as last month, he was playing live. I don't know know for sure if he's taking December off.  ;)

In addition to writing and recording music, he's pulled the faders for some other well-known artists. He's been produced by, and has produced, another artist who had a sprinkling of minor hits, but produced other artists who enjoyed greater chart success.

I just know now who artist 2 is, but don't want to spill the beans. Therefore a modest and carefull question: is that song about a Ford?
