Well, obviously it's a VW Beetle 
So there must be something special about this one...

Seems to be a KdF Typ 60 replica made on a more recent base.

Made for a film, perhaps ?

Its a early VW beetle cut in half, displayed at Autostadt, the Museum at Wolfsburg near the Volkswagen Factory.
