So either the entire glasshouse swings open, or you get in through the side window (which would be worse than getting in a 7 type with the roof on - i have done so)

According to a recent post in a French forum, it is a  Hansa 1500 Roadster prototype.

After some Googling, I found it as a 1954 Hansa 1500 roadster with Polyesterharz-Aufbau made by Erich Übelacker.

Borgward, for sure.  I didn't know that Hansa became an autonomous make in 1959.  I admit that I have been a bit lucky when finding this post by Mister X.  Such a strange coincidence...
