Just for a change: here's an easy one for a quick Rookie. So what's this one? A correct answer will worth a point

MG Manic

Well, I don't know how easy it is, but let's give it a shot. There is a lot of MG cues from the scuttle back and a lot of what appears to be either Bentley or Lagonda up front. Am I anywhere in the ballpark?

pnegyesi

You are in the right country

shinblam

Looks to me like an Aston, late '20's or early's '30's.

pnegyesi

You are still in the right country :) :)

MG Manic

Rover or Lea-Francis?

pnegyesi

One question at a time. Which one do you go for?

MG Manic

Rover.....Speed Model?

pnegyesi

It is a Rover, but not a Speed model. You've got a lock though for 24 hours to find out its correct model name

MG Manic

Light six sport tourer?

I've found a couple of web pages which describe this car as a Rover Meteor 20 of 1927.

But I'm not sure this is entirely correct. I'm not a Rover expert, but I didn't think the Meteor name was in use as early as 1927. Most sources seem to list the Meteor 16 and 20 hp models as current from 1930 to 1934. I haven't managed to find any more details about this particular car.

Correct. I also have it as 1927, but it is probably a typo and it is from around 1932.
