You must be psychic ;D It indeed has an NSU engine.
And the numberplate is Dutch ;)
Is it a Ad den Teuling Protos?
I had never heard of Ad den Teuling. Just googled him and found that I live less then 30km away ::)
Anyway, it's not a car from him.
He used to vintage race a Ginetta G4 at Zandvoort.
And as far as I know he was involved in a couple of NSU specials.
One for Wagenaar Hummelink ( that one was developed and changed for Slalom Racing and I believe it still runs but now as a monoposto with a watercooled VW engine ), and an other one that stayed on the track.
I think that one was found not too long ago, so I thought it might be it.
But its not.... ;D
Maybe I'll remember where I saw this one... ;)
There was a NSU powered Terrapin ( High Speed Low Cost, Allan Stanniforth ) that ended up in Holland.
Could that be it?
That's not it either. The car wasn't made in the Netherlands.
Brixner?
not a Brixner.
Was it made in an European country? It looks so familiar!
Yes, it's european. According to my source 13 cars were made.
Germany?
No, not from Germany
France?
No, not France either.
GB?
No, not from the UK
mmmh.... Italy?
It's guess the country, tonight ;D
No, it's somewhere in the middle of all the country's that have been mentioned
Belgium?
Indeed ;D
Rotary engine?
No rotary engine in this one, I don't know about the other 12 cars

Found it now: It's a Mean Barquette "CanAm" with NSU TT engine.
It obviousely had different body styles:
This one is very, very well solved ;D
Our site has a bit of a Mean streak going... ;)
and the friendlier road-going version (although it's competing at an event)
I had the pleasure to see one of the surviving wild little cars in action at this historic hill climb race in Belgium:
