For my 50th puzzle, a rather beautiful vehicle.
1 point for the correct answer. A potential 1 extra point for extra information.
Good luck!
-
Swiss? German?
-
I don't know myself....
-
I don't know myself....
That is very very bad :( Is it puzzle or identification?
-
European?
-
European?
As far as I'm aware. And I do know what I believe to be the correct name, but not much else.

Hmm... Very interesting..
1) Is this car still available?
2) Is the manufacturer (You think has made this car) still active?
3) Is it a one-off?
-
Don't know.
Don't know.
Most likely.

Yeah.. it can be very hard to solve it (because You don't tell me any information ;D , despite the fact that I may have seen it somewhere, sometime... Maybe other (front, side) picture is available?
-
Nice tactic going to other forums and seeing if anyone else knows it. there. ;D
Yes I have more images, one of which I will share now, but remember that this is still a puzzle which I know the answer to. Not giving too much away. ;)
Owner's the builder apparently...
It really is a beauty.

Really, Beautiful & never seen before :)
I rarely use other forums, but this time it is really interesting to check :)
No ideas.. You didn't give me any useful information.. I do not even know the country of it! :(

The most I can help you is that because the owner built it, and the owner lives in Switzerland, it's Swiss? I don't know the actual country of build though, this is just speculation.

Isn't it a modified car?
-
Isn't it a modified car?
This is all that I have on the car.
'According to him it is a unique, which is the owner alone has built. On the question of what basis it is the owner replied that no other car serves as a base.'

Maybe You know the builder of this car personally? It seems so :)

I wish, if I did I could undoubtedly give you more information. Everything comes through the internet on this one, pics, info etc...

Man! I really got stuck.. I don't where to search and what to search.. Could You give me any little clue?

That's cheating in my book :-\
-
This one seems to be creating a kind of stir, perhaps a pro can put this one to rest quickly.
-
Looks like a cross between the new electric Lightning sports car and a Honda S2000 - but the Swiss plates don't quite fit into the equation anywhere...
-
Any more clues available?

Looks like a reworked Z8 BMW to me.
-
I'll just repeat this, as this is all the information I have regarding the build.
'According to him it is a unique, which is the owner alone has built. On the question of what basis it is the owner replied that no other car serves as a base.'
Basically, none of the 'based on' or 'looks like' guesses are right...
-
I'm suggesting the car likely is based on some bits from elsewhere, and likely much more than just some bits.
I was not proffering a guess as to it's moniker.
-
I'd say that a BMW Z8 with this car's rear would be almost perfect.
-
But that wouldn't better the front... ;)
-
Here's a couple more pics, let's see if this somehow jogs someone's memory.
-
Has it something to do with Wiesmann, again?
-
Maybe somthing with Berrard :-/ (wild guess I think :)
-
Has it something to do with Wiesmann, again?
I haven't been able to link it to anything whatsoever. Wiesmann was a thought to me as well but I really cannot find anything more on it...
-
I've got 2 more pics for this, don't know if able to post them...where I found it they say it is a Wiesman, but in the pic you can see a Carlsson logo, I'm afraid I can't visit that site from here....
-
Does it have any conncetion with Australia or America?
-
Swiss tuning company Dähler? (cooperates with Hartge, Wiesmann and Carlsson)
four reasons for my guess:
1. Hartge rims
2. Carlsson logo in the garage
3. Wiesmann chassis (?)
4. Swiss number plate

Hello! Somebody out there??
-
This car was recently discussed on a forum well known by some amongst us...
Think the NZ/USA connection is not reliable at all! (ekladams!)
-
Hello! Somebody out there??
My apologies, I missed this and have been extremely busy this past week.
I'm not aware of any connection with Dahler...
-
A real hard nut to crack. Even two want-ads have failed...

Old puzzles start to "stink" ;D Don't You think a clue or a hint is needed?

Old puzzles start to "stink" ;D Don't You think a clue or a hint is needed?
I really have nothing left, I can't offer any more than I already have because this is all that I know.
-

To the contrary - many of the old puzzles are savored by their poster, and those who enjoy a prolonged hunt. Once the solution is found, and the cork is popped, they are enjoyed by both.

You calling this one an "old" puzzle? My, compared to some I know he's just a baby.
-
I like the rear end very much, but have no clue what it is.
-
I really want this puzzle to be solved ASAP (like many others ;D ), but there are so little information provided and I have no idea where to search & what to search :(
That is really beautiful car and needes to be identfied ;)
-
Some want moonshine, some want scotch.
-
It's messing not only with AutoPuzzler's heads... the other forums where he took this car to were as clueless as we are here... :-\
-
Could I ask how many sources online has the name of this car? It looks to unsearchable.. Well, I've found some pictures already posted here without any info, but.. :(

I've found it in 2 seperate places, at least one of which should be known by a fair few here. This one links back to the other place.
-
Is one of these places a forum? The place where I've found the pictures has it as Wiesmann :(

I can't say anything further because I don't know where you're referring too (I wouldn't tell you even if I did know. ;D), but you might potentially be onto something...
-
Wow? Is this puzzle still unsolved?
-
There's a source mentioning the name Bertone Yo(u)nique! Is this reliable??? :hail:
-
Is it going to be finally solved withou any more clues/hints?
-
This mystery is still very obscure. Additional info will follow after it's definetely identified! (http://i54.photobucket.com/albums/g106/pan1968/Gifs/h.gif)
-
After the name provided by you I have found the Bertone document which states that 2006 Younique has a BMW (
body) engine, of course :) , modified chassis and is a custom-built one-off. That's basically all
-
And obviousely it really is from Stile Bertone! :)
-
I already think Allemano has found the answer for one of the hardest puzzles since I am a member here. That deserves the highest respect!!
-
In fact it was easier to find as You might believe Arunas! It was completely by chance!
Guess we have to be a little patient till we get response from down-under...
-

I do believe you are correct, this appears to be a better answer than what I had, and having found the document you're referring to I think that's a lot more accurate than mine.
I had this under two names, Unique Ghost was the one I was after. The other was 'Wiesmann Unique Ghost', which was posted on a website that did not allow 'Unique Ghost' as the name because of software, so it was entered as Wiesmann. According to the poster, it had nothing to do with Wiesmann, which is my reason behind denying Wiesmann involvement. I'm guessing that because the name was transferred orally to the photographer, he posted it as 'Unique' rather than 'Younique', which of course would sound the same.
The poster of the images said that no car serves as this base, but evidently a BMW engine does power it. I'm guessing this means that no particular BMW served as this car's donor, just an engine did. Much like Wiesmann really.
I shared all the information I had, I know it was sparse but it was the best I could do, and I have great admiration to Allemano for helping me to solve this too. I think this one's worth 2 points by now, well earned!
-
After googling "Unique Ghost" I've found it on a German forum where I'm a member, too.
Unfortunately the particular topic is locked for any reason and I can't get any additional information.
The man who disclosed the mystery claimed he knows the owner of the car and that it was custom made by that person.
I've send an email to one of my pen-friends who is an absolute Bertone expert.
He's in touch with STILE BERTONE's headquarter and I hope he definetely will bring the car's identity to light!

That's the forum that I was under the impression that Arunas had, but evidently he didn't...
I would be amongst those greatly appreciative of any more information your friend may potentially be able to bring forth about this beauty.
Here's the image that has been brought up thanks to Allemano's source.
-
I remain skeptical that the only BMW part is the engine. But, alas, we may never know.
-
And obviousely it really is from Stile Bertone! :)
Wow. Can anyone contact Stile Bertone to ask if it really is a Bertone design?
-
I have a Stile Bertone PDF (still available I guess!) showing the car as well, but I'm still not 100% sure. I've asked a friend to contact the inner circle of Stile Bertone, but there was never a definite confirmation.
