O.K., the original picture was a mere 3x2cm and I do not have another one.

So this is hard, but it´s a challenge also  ;D

It was a bigger and (then) well known manufacturer.

I'll start--how about an Auto Union???

Not Wanderer, DKW, Horch or Audi.
This car was built years before the Auto-Union was formed from those four makes.

The marque you should look for was part of another german auto manufacturer´s conglomerate.

LOCKED for Aaron65 for 24h.

It is indeed a Hansa. I just need a model designation of this racing variation of a stock model and the point will be yours.

Well, finding info on pre-Borgward Hansas isn't easy, and I don't have any books on them.  Sooo, it looks like the car is around a 1915 model if I had to guess by the picture.  The only model designation I can find from that area is a 16-50 PS.  I also found a Type E that seems like the sports model, but the name doesn't seem to jibe with the others I found.

Sorry for torturing you. But now we have it.

It is an Hansa Treff-As Rennwagen, which was running as a racing car in Argentina in 1925.
I do not have a driver´s name or further facts.

Maybe some of our south american pros will have some additional information.
