I think the connection between the vehicles is the name 'Kowalski'.

Hazardous 2: 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T 440 – the main character (Barry Newman) in the film Vanishing Point
Hazardous 3: 1970 AMC Hornet – Kowalski brothers, rally drivers
Hazardous 4: The Streetcar named Desire – Stanley Kowalski, one of the characters in Tennessee Williams' drama
Hazardous 5: 1972 Ford Gran Torino Sport – Walt Kowalski, protagonist in the film Gran Torino

That's the ticket!
But it's more than ther name.
All these cars are driven by someone -real or fictitious- named Kowalski (the most popular Polish name in american films as it seems). Except the streetcar maybe, but we can assume that symbolically and given its name, Stanley Kowalski is the conductor of this machine.

Now to complete this:
- which Kowalski drives this Hornet? (locked for you 48 hours). You are allowed only one answer, of course.
- which Kowalski drove a Mustang, where? Open to all. (I couldn't find a clear picture of the actual car's wheelcovers. In any case, it's a 1966)

Wow! That's inspired!   :applause:

Without a doubt. It is the generic Polish name.

This is a great puzzle you have put together, Ray!    :hail:

I don't think it's so great but it  was fun.
And I don't know if the connection was obvious (maybe, for avid moviegoers, once you add the Challenger and the Gran Torino) or very far fetched - and so Ehhxekt very clever. Which he usually is, for sure.

:bag:
Very stupid question by yours truly: they are two people in a rally car, so there is nothing to add to Ehhxekt answer.

Now, for your pleasure, a clue that I might have added sooner or later if he hadn't been so brilliant. But I feared it was too revealing.

Well, probably because it is the most popular Polish last name in general ;) Like "Smith" in English. Incidentally Kowalski means "of or pertaining to a blacksmith" :P

As for the Mustang - do you mean Allan Kowalski? There was an investment banker and classic car lover who got murdered by his neighbour in Texas two years ago. His favourite car was said to be a white 1966 Ford Mustang.
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Thanks for making me a more learned man, Impishgrin. I didn't know, I had never heard of a Kowalski in Poland. Which that I know very little about your country, doesn't it?

The last Kowalski isn't Allan. Here is a picture of the actual "Kowalski Mustang", the first one being just the same model. Not much of a clue maybe, but this has reached the Pro Section.

Is the Mustang's Kowalski a real person or a movie character?

That's it. I erased your links because you're not supposed to post some, although clever puzzlers will know what you mean.

Ehhxekt 6 points, Impishgrin 1 point. The Hungarian Brigade strikes again, but loses one point to Poland.
