Who can tell me some facts about this vehicle?
Time to be promoted.
Nobody interested in this vehicle with the strange wheel pattern?
It's a Morgan cyclecar from Germany. Made in Berlin, 1924-1925. Powered by a 500 cc two-cylinder engine
Pal was first again!
Very good.
This is indeed a german Morgan from Berlin!
I had this article for so long...thank you Grob and Pal, finally I can put this in the right folder!
Wow!
Thank you so much Paul - this really is why I love autopuzzles.com!
Never would I have linked those two pictures to be the same car.
Sometimes this seems to be a kind of technical archeology :D
A 1925 ad:
I believe it's a different version of the same car:
Most possibly yes!
It is the same car. Kubisch has that drawing in his book as the Morgan illustration.
So were there two body types?
- one with a pre war DKW or Weymann style with a wooden substructure and a faux leather surface (the puzzle car)
- and the second with a plywood body (the last photo)
Looking at the four pictures in this thread, I would put them in the following chronologic order: reply #9 - reply #5 - reply #7 (=?) puzzle picture.
Another version of Paul Jaray´s side view from 1925:
With a manufacturer's plate on the running board, and another rarity in the background - the Nowa:
