This is one of three rear-engined Porsche Typ 12 prototypes built by Zundapp in 1931-1932. This particular one is a cabriolet, while the other two were fastback two-doors. The Typ 12 is now considered to be the first ancestor of the VW Beetle.

Perfect answer Tonyola!

I´ve changed the initial puzzle pic, so now you can see Prof. Porsche´s face.

This car must have been a very early mock-up, as it does not stand on its wheels, but on massive blocks.
Contrary to the more streamlined coupés that came later, this one is a convertible with open rear wheelcases and more conventional bodywork.

Any further pictorial footage is welcome! ;)
