A juicy point awaits the one who plucks the answer to this fruity puzzle: what's the name of this car?
-
Your move
-
1948 Gordano?
-
Not a Gordano ...
-
On the up
-
Cannon Mk1
-
I think you've got it. The builder is Cannon but the actual name of the car is...? Your puzzle till your next reply...
-
That what its called in a book I own.
-
I found this ..." the "Cannonball," as some called it, was finished bearly two weeks before the Pebble Beach race, on november 5 1950"...
In the text, but not in the Index or the Header.
Was that an unofficial nickname, maybe?
Edit.
From another book...
..."Cannon built the Mk1, sometimes referred to as the Cannonball or the Vacuum Sweeper, in 1950." ...
Index and Header both call it the Cannon Mk1 in that book as well.
-
OK a point to you! Yes, I had it down as the Cannonball, built by Ted Cannon
-
Thanks. :)
