One point for the make, year and what engine it used

Hezza

Erm, the one and only Skinners Union? Don't know much else...

woodinsight

Well done - I thought this would be quite difficult to solve.
It is the only car built by SU - the carburettors manufacturer.
SU stands for Skinner Union.
However I also asked for the year and what engine it used so to be fair I'll lock it for you for 24 hours to come back with a reply.

Hezza

Sorry for not replying sooner. Hmm, I don't think I'm going to get this one... I really don't know the year and I'm guessing it has a Standard engine? That's not really an answer - I'm stumped!

woodinsight

Hezza, this I thought would be difficult even for the pros.
I have decided to award you with a point for naming the car.
Another point I'll add for who can tell me the year, what engine was employed and any other details relevant to this unique car.
I'll move it up to the experts now to see if they can complete the answer.

Guten appetit Allemano!

Have added what I hope is a better image of the SU (Skinner Union)
One point is still up for grabs - see above

Allemano

Thanks! ;D I was about to post the same picture..

woodinsight

Aha!
Great minds think alike!

Hezza

Thanks for the point Woodinsight! And I'm really intrigued to learn more about this car...

woodinsight

Hezza identified the car but there is still a point available for the pros to complete the answer.

Allemano

The car originally had a supercharged Morris Minor engine.
Later on it had a straight eight Hudson engine with 4168cc.

woodinsight

That must be a record reply in the time stakes!
And the year?

Allemano

woodinsight

Perfect!
Another point for you.
