Time for a second pic:

faksta

I don't know what car has been recently solved, but is it Martini-BMW? Kurt Louis at 1966 Nuerburgring 1000km?

Allemano

:applause:

You're almost there, only the designation is missing!
Yours till your next reply!

faksta

It is referred to as Martini-BMW almost everywhere, sometimes Martini-Prototyp. But since a 1963 BMW based car was a Typ 1, maybe this one is Typ 2?

There had been a lot Martini BMWs, but which one is this? Typ 1 or Typ 2 is not what I'm looking for.

Allemano

If faksta won't bring it home it's open for all again.
Anyway, I gave faksta one point for finding the right car, but he's out of the race then. :) :(

faksta

Thanks :)
Out of the race means can't guess further? I believe I won't loose much now, as I really can't find a correct name, although did search in more than just one language :)

Allemano

You can guess, but you won't get a second point!  ;D

faksta

Ah..OK, anyway I have already got one  ;D

Allemano

Come on! It's pretty easy now. At least for a controlled shot in the dark..  ;)

Finally!

Finally what? The "Prototype 1600" is just a name of the class, not the car :P The car is, as elsewhere, simply a Martini-BMW.
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Allemano

Not so cheeky Mr. Impish! I have a book about Willi Martini. Where do you have your impressive knowledge from?

ImpishGrin

What knowledge? I'm referring to PJ's answer, in which the car is described simply as a Martini-BMW, yet for some reason you've decided it's enough. I'm not trying to prove anything, it's just that I've spent some time searching for the car's designation (and failed), so i don't iunderstand why an answer without the designation was worth a point sudeenly.
