in 1962 mazda showed at japan motor show mazda 1000 prototype, maybe this is that car, but I haven't found that picture, so I am not sure.

This is a Mazda Luce. It doesn't look anything like to me and the Luce is a much bigger car!

This is a Mazda Luce. It doesn't look anything like to me and the Luce is a much bigger car!

The car shown was developed into the Familia and Luce used for the larger car in 1966. I could send a photo of the car from the 1963 Tokyo show clearly showing the Luce name plate, but I can't seem to attach images. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

This was the Giugiaro era at Bertone, but I suppose it does bear some resemblance to some of his designs, e.g. the Iso Rivolta.
