Lyle 4600 V-8 from Rhodesia (Swaziland)

Strictly speaking it's the territory of today's Zimbabwe, but this country wasn't already established back then..

Except Swaziland is not Rhodesia and never has been!
The old Northern Rhodesia became Zambia and Southern Rhodesia became Zimbabwe.
Swaziland still exists and is a landlocked country entirely within the borders of South Africa.
However since you got the name of the car you deserve your point!
To finish the geography lesson, Swaziland has borders with South Africa and Mozambique - it's Lesotho that is completely surrounded by South Africa.
OK, so I mixed up my geography, but I found the car eventually :)
Around the horn in (less than) 80 days, but a compelling mystery, regardless.
Is there any more information available on this car?
Who built it (Mr. Lyle I presume), when and any other details?
Unfortunately not! I tried to contact the owner of the site, but he didn't reply.
Okay, thanks Allemano
How do we know it was build in Rhodesia? The only site I found with this reference just states it was raced there??
That's indeed a good question!
As I couldn't find any evidence for the origins of this car I presupposed it was built in Rhodesia.
Any other infos are highly appreciated!
