Excalibur?
You're almost there, though something is missing. Your puzzle till your next reply.

Excalibur Mk VI fitted with a Lincoln V-8.
Designed and built by David Stevens, Brooks Stevens son in 1963
-
Correct!
-
Thanks for the point and to add a little more information -
On this car there was no rear suspension, the rear axle was solid mounted to the sheet aluminium monocoque.
Up front a beam axle pivoted at its centre point to allow for small road irregularities.
A torque converter was used to give one forward speed plus reverse.
The Lincoln V-8 produced over 400hp.
Large tyres were fitted that went some way to compensating for the lack of suspension over bumpy roads.
I think it's true to say that this car was not a success!
-
Maybe it wasn't a success but at least has quite a sexy look.
Another pic:
-
I agree but the huge tyres spoiled the basically well designed body
-
Agree if you talk about racing only, but still I like the overall looks. Would be a nice shape for a cool beach-buggy or something like that.
-
Yes - I wholeheartedly agree - a cool car for street/fun use
-
The overall look of this thing is fantastic.
-
Does anyone know if there were ever Excaliburs Mk I - Mk V ?
-
Maybe he included his father's works.
-
I think that's correct.
His father's Excalibur J and Excalibur Hawk preceded the Mk VI and I can only imagine that this car was the sixth design/project to emerge under the Excalibur name.
