Twelve different Formula 850, made by twelve different firms, hence twelve points for you.
Hard to identify? No: everything is in a book about the 850 derivatives... but, uh, it'hasn't been published yet... ;D
So, hurry up because when the book will be on sale, I'll close the puzzle anyway.
No matters for Rookies... ;D
So, up to Experts!
No2: Dagrada
No6: DeSanctis?
No11: Tagliani?
Do we have a Tagliani in this puzzle?
And can No11 then be a Fagioli?
No, we don't have a Tagliani here.
We do have a Fagioli, but it isn't #11.
Maybe is it No1?

No5: Zambarbieri?
No12: CRM?
Sorry: none of them is correct.
We don't have here neither a Bellasi nor a CRM.
We do have a car made by Zambarbieri (it isn't #5) but this is the name of the "chairman", not actually the brand.
#9 lucky ??

#7 is BWA, isn't it?
Quote from: als15 on January 20, 2010, 01:33:39 PMWe don't have here neither a Bellasi nor a CRM.
Isn't that CRM in the background on picture #8? :D
Also, could #5 be Ciceri?

#7 is BWA, isn't it?
Yes, it is!

Also, could #5 be Ciceri?
Yes, this is actually the first F.850 made by Ciceri brothers, but I need the name of thier brand. Locked for you until next reply.

#03 - Biraghi - pino

Was it called GMS then?
Yes: GMS, which are the first letters of their names: Gianni, Mario and Sergio Ciceri.
#01 - Fagioli - pnegyesi
#02 - Dagrada - pnegyesi
#03 - Biraghi - pino
#04
#05 - GMS - faksta

Following your reply about Zambarbieri's car, is his formula (MZ?) pictured as #12?
No, not #12.
But MZ is actually the brand name of Mario Zambarbieri's cars.
Maybe No8 is the MZ
Yes, it is!
Only two still to name!
#01 - Fagioli - pnegyesi
#02 - Dagrada - pnegyesi
#03 - Biraghi - pino
#04
#05 - GMS - faksta
#06 - De Sanctis - pnegyesi
#07 - BWA - faksta
#08 - MZ - pnegyesi
#09 - Lucky - pino
#10 - Ol-Ga - 75america
#11 - Tecno - faksta
#12
No12: Bonetti?
No4: Selene?
No, but something in your guess is somehow correct.
Consider that, even if the period magazines made a lot of confusion about that, Selene is actually the name of a model, not a brand. And we here have one...
Bellasi - Bonetti - CRM - Nigiopa - Tagliani
So then, is No12 a Tanesini?
Yes! Indeed a Tanesini Selene.
So, let's find the last one!!!
#01 - Fagioli - pnegyesi
#02 - Dagrada - pnegyesi
#03 - Biraghi - pino
#04
#05 - GMS - faksta
#06 - De Sanctis - pnegyesi

#08 - MZ - pnegyesi
#09 - Lucky - pino
#10 - Ol-Ga - 75america
#11 - Tecno - faksta
#12 - Tanesini - pnegyesi
I doubt it, to be honest, but could #4 be a Renzini?
:shakehead:
Bellasi - Bonetti - CRM - Nigiopa - Renzini - Tagliani
#4 spi-car ????
:shakehead:
Bellasi - Bonetti - CRM - Nigiopa - Renzini - Spi-Car - Tagliani
At this point, even two guesses per reply are allowed...
tony kart ??
repetto??
:shakehead:
Bellasi - Bonetti - CRM - Nigiopa - Renzini - Repetto - Spi-Car - Tagliani - Toni Kart
Autotecnica?
Lavazza?
It becomes a pure guessing now... Can't find any pictures of the cars of most of the companies behind F850, even of any other categories.
:shakehead:
Autotecnica - Bellasi - Bonetti - CRM - Lavazza - Nigiopa - Renzini - Repetto - Spi-Car - Tagliani - Toni Kart
I know it's hard.. so a little clue. The brand is just the surname of the guy that built the car. It narrows the possibilities...
Then my next two guesses will be Giuliani and Paparusso.
And Giuliani is the correct name!
:applause: :applause: :applause:
#01 - Fagioli - pnegyesi
#02 - Dagrada - pnegyesi
#03 - Biraghi - pino
#04 - Giuliani - faksta
#05 - GMS - faksta
#06 - De Sanctis - pnegyesi
#07 - BWA - faksta
#08 - MZ - pnegyesi
#09 - Lucky - pino
#10 - Ol-Ga - 75america
#11 - Tecno - faksta
#12 - Tanesini - pnegyesi
Final result:
pnegyesi - 5 points
faksta - 4 points
pino - 2 points
75america - 1 point
A very enjoyable quizz it was
And the same was for me when starting to compile the Formula 850 manufacturers list for my book: a new world all to be discovered...
Quiz really cute! A question, but in Italy this book will be 'sold?
I'm Italian and if anything I interese the publisher, the author and the official title.

Of course. And I'm Italian too and hence the book will be in Italian language.
I'm going to give the files to the printer just in the next few days, so I think it will be available about in mid February.

I recently stumbled upon als15's list of Formula 850 manufacturers. My interest in them is a bit self serving. I have an old Italian formula car and do not know what it is. For awhile it appeared to me that it was that old failed Abarth SE-08 F-3 car, but unfortunately it is not. My best guess is that I have an early DeSanctis Formula 850, meaning about 196. They made them until 1968. I really want to find out what I have before I decide the best way to rebuild it. The car is in pieces, some of which I am still collecting. I have a bunch of pictures of the engine, trans, and body. I will gladly share them with anyone, just get me an email address. The engine seems to be a stock FIAT 850, which is driving a FIAT 500 transmission. The starter location seems very modified as it now sits on top of the bell housing. I live in New Jersey in the USA, and we do not see many little Italian formula cars here and I would like to converse with anyone that has an interest or can help me. Thanks, Paul

Hi, this is PCR and I am interested in your book, mostly for what it has on Formula 850, so I will visit the link you offered. I have a bunch of pictures of the engine, transmission, and chasis, that I am happy to share, but I need an email address to forward them to. I am sure there is a way to do this directly to autopuzzles as well, but I do not know how to do this yet. Please direct me. Thanks Paul
You can add them as attachment at your reply message here on Autopuzzle (just use the section + Attachments and other options) below the text box when you reply.
Or you can send to my personal e-mail address, that you already have, or to the publisher one info@ilcammello.it, that's me again.
