Yes, the first anniversary of this puzzle is now only a few days away!  I must confess that I did not know of this car's existance until I stiumpled across this photo somewhere in deepest France late last year, and I not been able to find out much more information about it since either!  Hopefully the correct answer is not too far away now.

Looks like I don't have this name in my DB as well judging by all the hints...

Was this make well known? Although I have tried all the possible names that could fit in my opinion...

Djetset

Not Jide, but the marque is reasonably known.

CG? They've started to build complete cars later, but were active before as well.

Or, less possibly, Ferry?

OK, let's solve this.
You wrote that this car is from 62, and the same maker made also road cars and was quite known.
Were these other cars also from 62, like Arista?

yves

Did the manufacturer have any connection with Jacques Durand ? (the Jacques Durand from Jidé ? )

Djetset

No connection with Jacques Durand, and the other cars made by this company were pre-1962.

So, none of the above?

Et voila!  Tres bien Yves.  At last, we have a winner, as this is the one and only FJ built by Lambert, better known for his immediate pre-and post-war sports/racing cars.  The car was built in 1962 using many Renault Dauphine parts but wasn't used extensively in competition.  Well done  ;D.

Sadly not much more to add I'm afraid.

I discoved this car/photo at a classic car show in France last year.  The French Lambert club had some images of various Lambert vehicles on a wall, including this one.  I spoke to a Club member about the car, but he couldn't add much more information.  He believed the car no longer existed, but its racing appearances were very limited in the early to mid-1960s. It was Germain Lambert's last vehicle project.

Very interesting, I had no idea there were any Lambert cars built this late. Great to see this one solved finally!

woodinsight

Agreed.

I now have 352 different Formula Junior makes on my database.
Wonder if there are any more out there.

Now about Djetset #182...................I can't wait to see that one solved also.
