My first new puzzle of 2010.  Happy New Year to you all.  A point up for grabs if you can tell me who made this and the model name please.

Foldable truck called Harrier.
It's a British Army product.
Here's another view:

Djetset

I don't suppose you know who built it do you?  Locked to you for 24 hours.

Paul Jaray

I've got a couple of articles about, without this 'detail'!
Is it a known manufacturer?

Djetset

The manufacturer was quite well known for producing military vehicles much larger than this one.

Paul Jaray

No need to lock this for me, since I can't find it whitin the 24hours.
Land Rover?

Djetset

I feel a bit mean as you're almost there.  However, I did originally ask for both the make and model name.  It's not Land Rover, as the vehicles this manufacturer made for the British army vastly bigger than those as well.  I'll still Keep it locked for you for 24 hours.

Tanks, like Vikers? Or was it also a car manufacturer?

Quiller

if the topic is not locked ( ;)) the company was Hunting Percival Aircraft and the designer was J. Dolphin

Paul Jaray

It was locked but my next reply (if Vikers was wrong) would be again the request to open it for all because I had no idea and it's not fair for me to list all the manufacturers till I find it...
(BTW I would never have found it within the 24 hours.)

Djetset

Strictly speaking it was still locked, but thanks to PJ's generosity, Quiller gets the point anyway as his answer is suitably complete and correct.

Harrier 838 BJH is still known to the licensing authorities!
That's a Hertfordshire registration although Hunting Percival was at Luton Airport, which is/was Bedfordshire. The aeroplane in the background in that German article was more their style, that being a Hunting Percival Pembroke C1
Opinionated but sometimes wrong
