Solved - MJW #057 - Talbot Lago at 24h Spa-Francorchamps 1948

I couldn't resist posting this tonight knowing that the Japanese Grand Prix qualifying has been delayed by rain until tomorrow morning.

This photo perhaps illustrates the conditions that cars used to race in without a problem (okay not F1 but....)

This is a 2 point puzzle -
One for the track, year and event and one point for what the car is and who drove it in this event.

Track should be easy I guess although this particular corner looks a bit different today!

The car is a 1938 Talbot-Lago T150-C Spéciale with Figoni & Falaschi "teardrop" coupé coachwork, raced here at Spa-Francorchamps during the 24 hour race in 1948 by Jean Damman/De Belder.
It finished the race first in class and 11th overall.
