Looks to me like a 1936 Zbrojovka Z6.

It's not the name I have for it. The model Z6 is correct and the year I have is earlier.
I have very little information on Zbrojovka or on the make of the puzzle car.
It may be that they are linked.
I'll lock it for you until your next reply as you may have more information.

Well, I've frequently seen the make name for Zbrojovka cars given as simply "Z". Is that what you have?

I wouldn't think it could be much earlier than 1936. 1935 maybe?

You have the right car but I have it under another name - five letters starting with Z

I have also seen this car called Z model Z6 and Zbrojovka Z6.
The year 1935 is correct but I'm wondering whether my own information is correct.

Anyway the point is yours and I would be interested whether you know the name I have it listed as.
Still locked for you until your next reply.

Sorry, I can't find that 5-letter name -- only "Z" or "Zbrojovka." I'm pretty sure either of those could be considered the correct answer. The only other name I've seen this make called is "Zbrojovka Brno."

Okay thanks.
Let's called this solved as Z/Zbrojovka Z6 1935.
The name I had was Zetka and I can't find any more information under this name.
Another point for you.

ImpishGrin

"Zetka" means simply "Z" (name of the letter). Zbrojovka has been colloquially known as Z due to the letter Z being their logo.

BTW, there's a typo in the name (Zbrojovka not ZbrojovSka).
It's not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

woodinsight

Many thanks for clearing that up ImpishGrin and I'll correct the typo.

And another one.

Zbrojovka means armoury, in the sense of an arms manufacturer. These cars were made by Československá zbrojovka of Brno, who started out making mainly rifles and machine guns, but apart from Z cars, also went on to make Zetor tractors and Consul typewriters. Not to be confused with Česká zbrojovka of Strakonice, who started out making mostly pistols, but went on to produce ČZ motorcycles.
