OK, one more group puzzle on the theme of cars with "car" names. This may look hard at first, but once the pattern is clear it should make guessing pretty easy...

OK, let's go ahead and see what the Experts can do with this.
Disappointed that Experts have not taken a shot at this...
Opening it up to everybody now.
No2 is probably a 1902 Carlton
No3 may be a French Cardinet?
No4 is a Car De Luxe
No5 is a 1908 Carter
No8 is a Carden cyclecar
No9 is a cca 1922 Carroll
No12 looks like a 1923 Cardway tourer
#2 - incorrect
#3 - correct
#4 - correct
#5 - partially correct, but I have a longer name for the make
#8 - correct
#9 - correct
#12 - correct
The pattern should be pretty obvious. ;D
No5 is a Carter Twin Engine
No10 is a 1921 Carrow
There you go!
And #10 is correct as well.
No10 is a 1921 Carrow
I heard you the first time. ;)
Number #7 is a Car-Nation Roadster from 1913
Indeed it is.
#11 - 1922 Carteret?
Carteret is correct!
#1 - Caron 5hp Vis-a-Vis 1900
#6 - Cartercar?
Caron is correct! And the two I predicted would be the hardest remain!
#2 - Carde Tonneau 1900
#6 - Cartercar?
*edit* - will deal with #2 in the next post.
#6 - Nope, less well known. Surely that would not be the best Cartercar pic I could find!
Plus I used Cartercar in my first "Cars" puzzle, with make names ending in "car." I thought about reusing it here, but decided not to.
#2 - Carde Tonneau 1900
#6 - from USA?
#6 Carhartt?
#2 - Carde tonneau is correct! (But 1901, not 1900.) This is one of the very few makes I've featured (or guessed, for that matter) that's not listed in my good old Georgano encyclopedia. My source says only prototypes were made.
#6 - Carhartt is correct! Carhartt Thirty-Five, to be exact. I had a feeling that would be the last one to go. I had a hard time finding even the tiny picture I did.
And we're done!
01 - 1900 Caron - Paul Jaray
02 - 1901 Carde - Paul Jaray
03 - 1903 Cardinet - pnegyesi
04 - 1907 Car De Luxe - pnegyesi
05 - 1908 Carter Twin-Engine - pnegyesi
06 - 1911 Carhartt - João
07 - 1913 Car-Nation - João
08 - 1920 Carden - pnegyesi
09 - 1920 Carroll - pnegyesi
10 - 1921 Carrow - pnegyesi
11 - 1922 Carteret - woodinsight
12 - 1923 Cardway - pnegyesi
Final tally:
pnegyesi - 7
João - 2
Paul Jaray - 2
woodinsight - 1
And that's all, folks!
Interesting puzzle!
Many thanks
Yes! Nice puzzle
Very nice!
I wish I was here before!
It was very nice, thanks for the points :)
Decided to see if I could find a little more on the Carhartt than that tiny pic, and found the following.
