Right - I've had another look.
I have a different spelling...

So we'll leave it and see if the Rookies can get it, since it hasn't actually been the subject of its own personal puzzle?!

Rocaboy-Kirchner 200?

Rocaboy-Kirchner 200?

Well I have the spelling as Racaboy-Kirchner (which is why the Search did not produce it) but that is the car!
It was billed at the time as "the world's shortest limousine"!
It was made in Switzerland and was powered by an 850 cc Panhard engine.

There were two versions of this car, the Rocaboy RK2 with the Panhard petrol engine and RK200 for the electric model, with a four-door passenger car body, or the RK100 for the light commercial panel van verson, called RK100.  An RK200 model was presented at the 1973 Geneva Motor Show, but the vehicles were actually made in France by a French company Rocaboy Kirchner.

Here is a rear 3/4 view of the car, taken at Geneva in 1973 (not by me!).

I see the spelling has been changed (not by me!)
One was on display at Retromobile (2009 I think) where it was billed as the Racaboy-Kirchner RK200 (that spelling).  Google it and you'll find it.  But Googling Rocaboy-Kirchner will also find pictures of the car!

The picture I used came from a 1974 German magazine, which stated (in German):

Quote
Racaboy-Kirchner:  Two Swiss engineers with these names offered the RK 2 as the shortest 4-door limousine in the world.   The prototype with plastic bodywork and rubber-block suspension will be available with an 850 ccm Panhard engine, but it will also be able to be built with electric power.
Unquote

Can somebody say definitively what the correct way to spell Racaboy/Rocaboy is?

Sorry, Carnut I fixed the title because I thought you forgot.
The correct spelling is Rocaboy, at least that's how it's written in the Beaulieu Encyclopedia.

You are right, there was a pale blue example of a RK200 at last year's Retromobile, but I didn't read the display panel with the car.  However, i am 100% certain this is a Rocoboy with an 'o', not an 'a' as that's the only name I've ever seen listed, including an old sales brochure for it that I have on my list since I was a kid, which is filed away somewhere.  Here's another image, with the Rocaboy name, taken from a French article which may help for clarification.  By the way, the correct year should be 1973 for this car.

OK guys, thanks!
Everything should be right now then!
Djetset's picture is taken at the same venue as my puzzle picture; I painted out the 'RK 200' number plate...
Those Frenchies at Retromobile should check their facts better!!

Can you delete or merge it?

The wrong spelling in my source is the reason why I did not find this with the search button.  :bag:

You can´t rely on those information given, really...

This would be a nice new thread: the biggest blunders and most misleading information in playing card games and automotive literature.

Find the mistakes, correct them and get points... :D
