That looks a bit like an Alfa Romeo logo on the grille. Or are my eyes deceiving me?  :)

It is!
I left it on because I didn't think anyone could see it and it didn't have the traditional shield-shaped grille.
That'll teach me!

by an Italian coachbuilder?

D-type

It has a Farina look to it (Peugeot 404, Fiat 2300, Austin Cambridge and all the BMC variants, etc)

So, isit a Farina bodied 1900

I'm afraid that's not it.

It is by an Italian coachbuilder, however, to answer guido66's question.

Is it locked for pguillem?

You may go ahead.  I searched the Net and found nothing.  Probably it's in a book which I don't have.  Good luck !

Is it locked for pguillem?

No; don't think he's given enough info for it to be locked yet.

Alfa Romeo 2000 "Sole" by Franco Scaglione

You've got the right car, but the info on the site where you gleaned it is not 100% full and accurate!
It's the later (slightly modified) car but that's not its full name..
You're 95% of the way there but a little bit more digging should give you the name with 100% accuracy.
Therefore locked for you until you can find it!

You don't mean something trivial like: "Alfa Romeo 2000 "Sole" Bertone"  ???

No, if that was it I would have given you it.
There is something missing completely from the name, and it is an essential part of it.
It's not 'Alfa' or 'Bertone' or numbers but part of the model's name.
I haven't found it on the Internet at all (picture came from a book) apart from that one site you got the 'Sole' name from (which is part of the full name).
Think what might fit with 'Sole' (Italian for 'sun')?

Yes, it is.  Since he's 95% solved it it's really his puzzle - am just waiting for 2 words!
Why don't you PM me with your answer and I'll tell you if you're right or not; unfortunately you won't get a pint though...
