Is it British? - the background doesn't really support this

A car is for life, not just for Christmas.

It's a Jaguar E-type, or rather it was. The car was reworked by owner/builder Stefan Miksza to resemble(ish) the one-off E2A that raced at Le Mans in 1960.

Yes - I don't have details on the builder as the information came from the display board next to the car at the Newark Kit Car Show where I took the picture.

The board states:

Jaguar E2A
1960 Prototype of the famous E-Type Jaguar
American Racing team Briggs Cunningham initially ordered the E2A for a private assault on Le Mans.

The car was never given an official designation but was known by its chassis stamp of E2A.

Created here from a genuine short wheelbase Jaguar XKE
