Adler Trumpf Streamliner from 1937/9?

That's not what I have it as.
But I must admit it looks awfully similar; so similar in fact that there must be some connection, although I haven't been able to find it.  So for the moment I'll have to stick to what I have it as, and that's not an Adler Trumpf!  Time may prove you to be right and me to be wrong...

I haven't been able to verify my information, so I think the websites (both!) where I got it from are incorrect.
Therefore I believe the car to be what you say it is, an Adler Trumpf Streamliner from 1937, and in fact this particular model hasn't featured on Auto Puzzles before, so you have a point and the puzzle is solved!
It was therefore much easier than I thought, and pnegyesi was right!

Well, it's got an Adler badge on its nose, so I am curious what else this should have been

I'll PM you with the name of the site where I got the picture.

That's the internet for you: no audit trail so anyone can post anything and the casual Googler is misled.
I'd be interested in the identity of that dodgy site too, please!

... and the 1937 Adler Trumpf Stromlinie looked slightly different:

This looks like speed.
Which manufactorer, which model, which year? For one point.

Adler 1.5 liter, drove 188km/h in 1936at the Avus .(a magazine clipping from 1936 mentioned 1700cc)

Yes, that is completely true. One more point for you.

The version from 1935 is likely to be the same. I only searched for "Rennlimousine", not for "streamliner".
