The car may have used the designation 4.4V, when it carried an Alpina-tuned BMW engine.  The later 4.1V variant was based upon a Mecachrome engine used by Renault in GP2 racing.

The "production" model carries the name Ghepardo GTS 7.0V, after the 7 liter Chevrolet LS7 V8 under the hood.
