What is this car, who built it and when?
Answer all correctly and you will get 1 point:
Fiat 800 Coupe Allemano 1958

It is by Beutler, yes, but not VW or Porsche.
Will lock it for you for 24 hours to find the right car since you've found the coachbuilder!

Presumably I wasn't here back then :)
It is a Beutler coupé. It's apparently not VW-based, so I would asume it is not Porsche based. It is not Simca... Only other reference is to Bristol - looks different and Audi - not existant at the time. Maybe Auto-Union or DKW?
Not Auto-Union or DKW either.
I did say before it wasn't a Porsche..
And it's not Bristol either (actually you're only supposed to ask 1 question at a time!)

excuse me, but I said it can't be Bristol. So I elminated that myself.
Wel I do know Beutler made Porsche-based specials. So my 1 question is: Porsche?
maico 700

maico 700
I searched for Maico 700 and got a Flickr page, but it seems they're still guessing there...
It is said there that it is the follow up on a 500...
It's a Maico as white12 says.
But it's not a 700.
So who's going to be the first to give me its full proper name and when it was built to get that point?
It's between white12 and DeAutogids to give me the right answer - not open to anyone else!
And by the way DeAutogids - I did say it wasn't a Porsche twice: I wasn't joking!!
if it is Maico, I say 500.
It was made to get a foothold on the US market if I read the internet sources correct.

500 is correct, yes.
So that's another step nearer but as I said I want its full correct name and when it was built for the point!
1958 Maico Sport III

Another step nearer ('Sport' is in the name) but it's still not exactly what I have (assuming my source is right, that is...)
Will lock it for you again since you are so nearly there - for 12 hours or your next reply, whichever is first!
1959 Maico 500 Sport III

Isn't that what you wrote before when I replied that you weren't quite right?
Still need the date that ties in with my info, which is from a usually very reliable source.
1957 then.
It can't be later (then 1959) so 1957 Maico 500 Sport III
