It's clearly closely related but this particular car isn't just any old Woodill Wildfire and has a specific name it is known by rather than a Woodill (or perhaps as well as might be more accurate).

So what is that?

Here's another pic for interest:

That particular car was used in movie Johnny Dark ( 1954 ), that must be a part of the name...?

It was, you're right, but that was in its previous incarnation and is not the name it is (now) known by.
Since you're just about there I'll lock it for you to reply to (Note Tackitt: in reply to your post believe the Woodill was developed from the Glasspar so that's not the right answer anyway!)

You've had it now for 3 days HEMI426 so it's approaching time to unlock it for others to pinch your point!
A very simple bit of Googling would bring up the right answer but will keep it locked for you for another 24 hours to do that then after that it's open.  It'll be solved in 5 mintues once the 24 hours are up so get your skates on!

It is the  Woodill Wildfire XK120 named The Idaho Special. and as HEMI426 said this car was used in the 1954 movie Johnny Dark starring Tony Curtis and Piper Laurie and I have read that was filmed in Written in the Wind too.

This is a brief story from auto restoration 101

The car was created by B. Robert (Woody) Woodill. His dad owned a car dealership in Downey, California. Woody bought his fathers share in 1948 which made him the youngest Chrysler dealer in the country at that time. Woody was wanting a sports car and was thinking about buying a Jaguar but everyone talked him out of it because they were hard to work on.
There was a Willys assembly plant nearby and Woody had access to it so he decided to use their parts along with a Glasspar fiberglass body to build his own sports car. He did some modifications to the bodies such as raise the hood and deck, added a hood scoop and extended the quarter panels to accept the Willys tail lights.

That's the answer so white12 gets the point (he must have been in the post ready to pounce as soon as the second-hand clicked round to 24 hours!).
Sorry; Hemi but gave you every opportunity.
