Looks like a Scarab to me, but that seems much too easy...

It's not a Scarab.

It looks like a Byers CR90 body

It looks like a Byers CR90 body

It's not one of those either.

As a matter of fact I'm beginning not to believe the car is what I have it as...
Think it might be another case of misleading information on the Web..
It does look similar to a Scarab but not identical; it's quite different to the Byers.
I've looked right into it but can't get definite proof it is what I have it as, which I think is wrong, but hopefully it's something quite similar..

Please don't forget that the Byers CR90 is quite different to the Byers SR100.
Most photos on the Internet are of the SR100 with only one or two of the CR90.
Anyway I also agree it looks like a Scarab but I'll wait and see what transpires....

It's not a Byers or a Scarab - no question.
Also it's not what I originally posted it as and I don't know why I was stupid enough to believe the caption on the site I got it from.
However, it's still a car that hasn't been posted before albeit much easier than my intended puzzle so I've left it on and it's a much easier point for someone than intended!

I think it is Masten Gregori's Ferrari 860 Monza.

Right make: wrong model.
Will lock it for you for 24 hours to find out which model it is.

Not sure if the 24 hour lock is finished but I this car is a Ferrari 500 Testa Rossa C owned by the Belgian Jan de Vroom and raced at the Sebring 12 Hours in 1957.
I have a photo but couldn't attach it at the moment. Will try again later if necessary.

I haven had time to look for the car, so I think the puzzle should be fair game again...

Yes, the 24 hours had passed so it was once more open to all.
It is indeed a Ferrari 500 TRC from 1957.
As I said when I posted it I had it as something else, which I had stupidly believed from a Website..
So it was rather easier than intended but well done anyway!

Jan de Vroom

Terrific name for a racing driver!  (vroom vroom they go...)

Here's a colour pic of what I think might be the same car:

In Dutch it is not really...

I would more see the name in Dutch as rather sedate.

In English it's very common to write the noise that little boys make when they're imitating a car sound as 'vroom vroom'.
In fact it has been used in car adverts to signal the sound of a sports car!
Hence (in English) it looks very appropriate!

Of course, I understand :).
I am just saying that it doesn't to me per se.
