Name the car, win a point!

Moving up! It shouldn't be too hard to work out why this car is 'close to my heart', as it were...... Any experts willing to step up to the challenge??

It's an Invacar as far as I can see. Model 57. Maybe you have it as a Thundersley?

Tom_I

It's not an AC Invacar - there was a substantial clue in Reply #1. :)

This is "close to Barrett's heart" because it's a Barrett Midget invalid carriage from 1963. This one appears to live in the Science Museum in London.

Congratulations! It is of course a Barrett Midget.
This was snapped by a friend of mine at the Coventry Transport Museum, although i'm not sure if it's just on loan or they have purchased it from the Science Museum

Not sure what constitues the of course. Probably the colour makes it obvious it's not the AC/Thundersley?

The front is significantly different from the AC. The Invacar 57 has an opening hatch, and a separate front valance panel that extends further down over the front wheel. The front of the Barrett is all in one piece.

And there's the colour as well.  :D

Thanks!
Honestly, that is appreciated, because I didn't see them. They are not immediately apparent from a picture
