Unfortunately I haven't got any further with it - a case of I know the car but can't find it at the moment.

Well, yes and no.
That's not the answer I'm looking for.
Certainly the body used either is one of those or is closely related, but that's not what this car is - it's based on something else.  What?

Is it Carl Tate's car? If so then I believe it had C-Type Jaguar internals.

No, it's not Carl Tate's car.
It does have Jaguar internals, but not C-Type!

I've read somewhere that this particular is a TR3 based car. The Jaguar based looks slightly different

Well , we will not quibble , Diemen was very tired It is a Jaguar XK 140 1956 , with the bolt " C ", by recarrossée Dawr 1963

And on my car , the taillights are arranged differently
