Cooper "Bobtail"
Of course it's hard to say you're wrong as it looks the same, but there is more to this Cooper than that (this is AutoPuzzles after all!)
So that's not the answer I'm looking for as it's a special one and I need to know its full details; it has also been known by another name during its racing career.
I won't lock it as think most would recognise the body but to find the right answer might take some digging...
Is this the car also known as the Pooper?

I don't believe so, but you
are on the right track!
It might be hard to pinpoint the car but I'll go for the Porsche Cooper built by Ken Miles in 1956 with model type R-3.

It is a Cooper Porsche as you have rightly deduced, but not that one!
Aha! Well that's reduced the possibilities by one!
I'll have to dig further......
So far I have not got any further than Cooper Bobtail T39 1955/56 with a Porsche engine.
Who owned or drove the car I don't know at the moment.
I know these cars were built between 1954 and 1957 but until I pinpoint which car this is I can't be more specific!
Found it!
1957 'KelKooper', raced in the USA by Kip Kelso.

Yes, that's it!
Hope woodinsight doesn't mind too much you nicking the point!
Well done!
Not in the least!
It would have taken me a while to find it anyway and well done Barrett.

Do you think? ;)
search for Google pics "Cooper Porsche" and it's on the 1st page.. (in German Google at least, maybe it differs from country to country)
Woodinsight is a true gentleman.
And I didn't find this one on the internet ;)
I have to say that I usually refer to my library and photo database before using Google.
Perhaps I should change my priorities!
