If it is a 1952 car it won't have had a TF1500 engine at first as that didn't appear in an MG TF until 1954 IIRC - and the TF itself dates from 1953 (IIRC again).
Probably originally had an XPAG engine as in MG TC/TD/TF and later was given the XPEG 1466cc engine when it became available.
