British kit car of the 70's - reason for suggestion is the Vauxhall Viva in the background...
Not british...
Experts!
profs!
That looks like a Buick Skylark, circa 1977 (appx) behind it, so I'll start the bidding with this:
North American?
Yes!
Front-engined?
I have only the name and the place... :-\
And the place is?
OK, OK, I'll leave...
Giveaway week, Pt.2
This picture cames from an ads, where is written: ______ kit car: make an offer.
The man who place the car also added that this car was made in Canada.
As this one has been asleep since January, I will try and wake it up by asking if this car could be a Cavano?
Not a Cavano.
I can't give any more clues...only the name is missing and unfortunately even if I tell you that it sounds like a type of car (like cabraiolet) it won't help you much.
I'll post all I have but the name:
Wild guess time - Cabrio?
Kupé?
I doubt it will lead you to the solution but...not cabrio or cupe (nor any of their possible derivates).
It's quite a formal body, but not a Sedan or Berline (or Town Car and Landaulette) ;)
Brougham?
Sedanca?
Much easier.
Torpedo?
Closed body.
Not a Sedan\Saloon\Berline\Berlinetta\Coupe\Coach....
Okay - last stab at this before lunch
Sportsman?
You are making it much too difficult.
Closed body, not a Coupe or a Saloon (aka Coach, Berline, Sedan, etc...)...what's left?
Limousine?
Saloon?

Limousine?
and now?
As the car appears to be in a French-speaking area of Canada, I wonder if the builder originally came from the French region of Limousin?
Limousin is my guess for the moment.
Not Limousin.
The 1st half is correct.
Remember that it's not a word with a meaning...it reminds me Limousine, but it's (I believe) just a surname.
Okay - I thought Limousin wasn't really the answer but I had to get that thought out of the way!
Perhaps just plain, simple Limo then?
Not just limo.
Let me sleep on it and you never know - I might have a brainwave tonight (or total brain failure!)
Could it be Limoges?
Not that...
Limo---- Kit Car from Canada.
Limousine (with an 'e')?
LimoXXXX.
Not Limousine.
In my clue I wrote that 'sounds like' and 'reminds me'...like Tourango can sound like Touring...not that close, but something like.

Le Mouse?

Limogens?
Limonest?
LimoXXXX
not -gens or -nest, but both guesses have 2 correct letters.
Limosins?
Limonser?
LimosXnX.
Limosens ?
Limosine?
Limosene?
Limosune?
Limosano?
LimosanX
Limosane?
Limosang?
Limosana?
Limosand?

Thanks PJ - that was down to a process of elimination on my part, not by any insider knowledge I hasten to add.
Glad it is solved though - hate to see these obscurati in the black hole.
