This one is very obscure to me too, I only have 1 small detail about.

Well, it's probably British (from the registration number - but not currently known by the authorities). It seems to have a driving position that is well outboard, like an early Cooper-Jaguar - but it's smaller than that.

This car is a mistery to me.
I found it in the net, in a site of an Organization that is not dedicated to cars, at all.
The key to find this car is connnected to a very specific (nearly unique at the time) caratheristic, that the BW pictures hides.
Find this out, then google will do the rest!

My answer is correct, I consider the stone quite an ordinary material, but a stone-made car a quite unique creation.

I´ve searched for the name I have aut autopuzzles and my source says it is a wooden car by a certain Mr.Farrar from Ipswich.
I was not aware that it already existed as the mentioned one.
So, maybe the best would be to merge those two or delete it completely...

It was built by Austin Farrar at Wolverstone Shipyard Ltd., Ipswich, UK in 1958.
The car - named Farrar Sports? was fitted with a Standard Ten engine.
I have a very similar photo that shows the car with twin aero-screens.

Well I´ve got two more photographs that clearly show its sophisticated wooden structure. The whole body weighed a mere 64kg!
He was a master craftman, indeed!

I have found more information on this unusual car.
It was built by Austin Farrar of Wolverstone Shipyard Ltd., Ipswich with a chassis constructed by W.J. Coe Ltd., Ipswich and owned by Bill Bunbury.
The car was named the F.C.B. (Farrar/Coe/Bunbury) and was completed in 1956.
As stated the body was of laminated wood.
Powered by a tuned Standard Ten engine, the transmission, steering and suspension also came from this car.
The F.C.B. was raced at a high speed trial at Snetterton on 15th. April 1956 driven by Jack Sears.

The magazine is german, yes.
But I do not have any information about the number of cars he has built.
I doubt it was more than the one shown here.
The number of hours to create a wooden body like this must be immense. And the car must beheavily expensive if you want to sell it...

My information comes from a UK magazine.
It was described as a prototype and I'm 99% certain that only one was built.
