#4 - Diaspora Cars?
A Bunch of Clues:
D: This car is named like a british kit car, that makes replicas of well known cars, and the name they chose for these cars are also famous movies.
E: This car is on the net, in different sources. It's a car based on a well known car.
K: another view
S: In the same place, you can find a Cobra and a Ferrari P4 replica.
W: This car was built by a pilot.
D: there is a replica, in the solved section, of a british sports car. This replica is named after a famous movie, with a great American actor. This actor is absolutely linked to a car driven in that film. The replicated car, is a model of a brand very famous, that was used in another series of movies by a very famous actor. If you got the name of the movie, you'll know the name of the model by this replica manufacturer. The name of this replica manufacturer is the model name of the car in the puzzle.
E: the base of this is the mother of all the basis. The name is a 3-letter acronym.
K: another view.
S: the core business of this one seems to be the Cobra. Now there is a quite hard intuition to be done and the name is there.
W: if you know where to look for this, the fact that he is a pilot, that this car has a Rolls-Royce radiator may be of some help.
at least 'D' should be a piece of cake, now.
Is the K-car Maserati related or is it powered by a Maserati engine?
Not a Maserati engine...
Fiat 8V?
Not Fiat...you are avoiding the most common choises...
I wished it would be Italian.. USAmerican V8?

OK, let's change strategy.
Step by Step:
1) Who can name a very famous American movie, with a very famous American actor, with a very famous American car? The name is quite simple and it was later used as a model name...(no long or articulated titles, then)
oh my dear there are more than a lot....
Titanic? Oh... pardon.. it's a ship... ::)
Bullit?
Quote from: Allemano on November 15, 2009, 07:24:33 AM
Bullit?
Y E S !
Step 2:
There is a company, who builds a replica of a Very Famous British Car Maker, that was used in a Very Famour Series of Movies, driven by a Very Famous Actor. This car is also in our solved section and the model name is "bullitt". The name of this replica maker is the model name of #4
DMS Bullit (Dorset Motor Services)
Perfect.
#4 _____________ DMS
As I temporarily find nothing a blind guess: Mercedes DMS? :D
Not a Mercedes.
my book only reveals a Ford Cortina based Cobra conversion and a MGA called copy the "Abingdon"
BTW: is your picture from an internet source?
This pic cames from the net.
This company D_____ is featured in different sources and the model name is DMS __ (the missing part is just a number).
