The cars are in alphabetical order, so the missing one will start with the letter:
4- D____   Not what it seems, of course.
5- E____   Based on a quite common car
7- G____  This one shouldn't be so hard...
11- K___  A nice beast
19- S___  Also builder of some replicas...
20- T___  A cross between a GT and a Buggy...
23- W__   This one maybe harder, it's a selfbuilt car...

A Bunch of Clues:

D: This car is named like a british kit car, that makes replicas of well known cars, and the name they chose for these cars are also famous movies.
E: This car is on the net, in different sources. It's a car based on a well known car.
K: another view
S: In the same place, you can find a Cobra and a Ferrari P4 replica.
W: This car was built by a pilot.
Title: Re: PJ - 140 A Bunch of Cars
Post by: Paul Jaray on October 11, 2009, 11:02:47 AM
D: there is a replica, in the solved section, of a british sports car. This replica is named after a famous movie, with a great American actor. This actor is absolutely linked to a car driven in that film. The replicated car, is a model of a brand very famous, that was used in another series of movies by a very famous actor. If you got the name of the movie, you'll know the name of the model by this replica manufacturer. The name of this replica manufacturer is the model name of the car in the puzzle.
E: the base of this is the mother of all the basis. The name is a 3-letter acronym.
K: another view.
S: the core business of this one seems to be the Cobra. Now there is a quite hard intuition to be done and the name is there.
W: if you know where to look for this, the fact that he is a pilot, that this car has a Rolls-Royce radiator may be of some help.

Yes!
The maker is reported as De Atley in many sources (Beaulieu, Harold Pace's book, etc.) and the model can be just 4.7 (a modified 450SL), but De Atley DMS 4.7 sounds better, don't you think?
Well done, 1 point for you!
