The neoclassic maker that shares its name with the puzzle car's maker was not inspired by a Bugatti or a Mercedes....
I'm temted too answer Illinga, because the front is very simular. Sadly not the rear, and I can't think of a neoclassic either.
There is a maker in Australia called Daytona, could it be that?
This is proving a difficult nut to crack.
I know it's a bit of a long shot but could the answer simply be Auburn.
There was an Australian manufacturer called Auburn Motorcar Co. of Melbourne around 1979.
I assumed they were building Auburn replicas but I have no more information on the company or the cars they were involved with.
Auburn of course means "reddish-brown" when referring to hair colour.
Not Ilinga and not Auburn.
The other company, the one producing the neo-classic car, is American and the inspirating car is indeed american, but not an Auburn.
Maybe Cord? Could it be "Warrior" then?
The puzzle car is not a Warrior and the neoclassic maker with the same name is not Cord-inspired.
Are we talking about a Gibbon? It was a Packard-replica
Not a Gibbon, but Packard was the muse....
