the flashback was built when cars were getting smaller in the 70s due to the gas shortages. Ford tried to style this car retro, but the styling cues totally didnt work with this tiny car design.

The front looks vaguely like a second generation Chrysler Cordoba, and the rear hearkens to the AMC Pacer.
