It has FOUR gas tanks?!?!?!    :(

It's the 1958 MZMA 444 rear-engined prototype built by Moskvich. It eventually went into production in 1960 as the Zaporozhets ZAZ-965.

I have it as dated 1957, but I found 1958 too. Your point!
As for the fuel fillers, MG, I'd rather say that they cleverly mimick some Buick portholes - in the rear, logical for a rear engine car. .
