Okay, here's one I don't know much about myself. All I know is what this is based on, but otherwise it's a total mystery. It was for sale recently in the UK but the owner didn't seem to know much about it - do any of our puzzlers know? One point for the base car and the 'name' it was given in the advert, and another point if you can tell me who built it, when and anything else!

Yes, well done!

A homemade one-off based on Austin 1100 mechanics with a GRP body. Nothing else is known about it, does anyone recognise?

This car is now on ebay (at a £1,350 mark-up since it was last for sale ::) ) and the seller has added a little more information. It was built by a Bill Chambers and is known as the Chambers BMC special. Apparently it featured prominently in an issue of 'Hot Car' magazine, so there are definitely some period pics out there somewhere....
