This has car has certainly impressed these chaps! If you know what it is and when it was made, you'll get a point.

That is the first Mezzolitre chassis, and an early shot at that, so I'd guess from the clothes August 1951. I'd guess that it's the first test from all the faces, probably an old airfield South of Birmingham?

Second from the right looks a bit like Gordon Bashford, chief engineer at Rover, and who assisted on the design of the Mezzolitre. And I have half an idea the one in the middle is local hotelier Jimmy Byrnes. There's probably quite a few important players around as well, including the first two drivers Rupert Instone and Olaf Poppe (the latter played a key part in the creation of the Land Rover). Do you have any details on who's who?

Well done, that is the car. Looks like you know more than I do about it!

I'm afraid I don't know who anyone is, but one of them is definitely Gordon Bashford as it was taken from an article about him.

Also, I'm afraid links are forbidden in the puzzles section (the reasons for this are explained in the Rules) so could you please edit your post to remove the link?

This is your first warning.
You wanna be the man, you gotta Name That Car!

Allemano

It looks familiar, but couldn't find it.

I'd like to know the name and the year of this little race car and the man behind this project (fig. ;)).

Apologize for the poor pic.
As usual one point only for the complete answer.
