Well, Steyr was german from 1938-194X during germany´s WWII occupation (they had to built "useful things like the RSO "Raupenschlepper Ost" in that hard times).

But the car we´re looking for was far before that. Steyr was and still is an austrian company

It looks like an Austro-Daimler AD8 of about 1932.  But they were made south of Vienna in Wiener-Neustadt, Austria. It also resembles a Graft und Stift SP8 also of Austria.
